The New York Giants re-signed quarterback Tommy DeVito to a contract on Saturday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the team, however. He was set to be an exclusive rights free agent when the new league year begins on Wednesday.
DeVito, 26, is the lone quarterback on the Giants’ roster with Drew Lock and Tim Boyle becoming free agents.
The team reportedly was interested in trading for Matthew Stafford, however the veteran quarterback agreed to a restructured contract to return to the Los Angeles Rams. Four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers reportedly is a potential candidate for the Giants, who also hold the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
DeVito completed 31 of 44 passes for 257 yards in three games (two starts) last season. He did not throw for a touchdown or have an interception.
The New Jersey native owns a 3-5 record since joining the team as an undrafted rookie in 2023. He has completed 65.3 percent of his passes for 1,358 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions in 12 career games (eight starts).
