Jordan Kyrou scored a hat trick to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night in Saint Paul, Minn.
Brayden Schenn added a goal and an assist for St. Louis, which snapped a two-game winless skid. Jake Neighbours also scored for the Blues.
Jake Middleton scored the lone goal for Minnesota, which dropped to 1-3-1 in its past five games.
Blues goaltender Joel Hofer turned aside 17 of 18 shots to improve to 12-7-3.
Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson allowed four goals on 26 shots to fall to 25-15-4.
Schenn started the scoring for the Blues at 4:17 of the first period. He tapped in a loose puck from near the front of the crease before Gustavsson could recover.
St. Louis pulled ahead 2-0 when Neighbours scored with 9:09 remaining in the second period. Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich each tallied an assist on the play.
Kyrou made it 3-0 with his first goal of the evening with 7:38 left in the second period.
The Wild got on the scoreboard 25 seconds later to cut the deficit to 3-1. Hofer came out of his crease to try to play the puck and committed a turnover, and Middleton capitalized on a shot into the open net.
The Blues grabbed a 4-1 lead on Kyrou’s second goal of the evening. He carried the puck into the offensive zone, skated behind the net and stuffed in a wraparound shot to secure a three-goal lead with 8:30 to go in the third period.
Kyrou put a punctuation mark on his performance with an empty-net goal with 2:20 remaining. He turned to his forehand and pushed a shot past a Wild defender for his third goal of the night and his 27th of the season.
The play marked Kyrou’s fifth career hat trick and his first since March 23, 2024, which also came in a win against the host Wild.
