Team Liquid, Team Tidebound and PARIVISION advanced to the playoffs of FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 by virtue of their group stage victories Tuesday.

In the set of Round 4 matches pitting 2-1 teams against one another, Liquid swept BetBoom Team 2-0, PARIVISION did the same to Gaimin Gladiators and Tidebound rallied for a 2-1 victory over Team Falcons.

Wildcard, Talon Esports and Night Pulse were knocked out of the tournament by losing in the 1-2 matches.

The $500,000 Dota 2 tournament features a group stage through Wednesday using a modified Swiss system for 16 teams. All matches are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, and the remaining teams are eliminated.

The playoffs on Thursday through Sunday use a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three until the grand final, which is best-of-five. The winning team will earn $250,000.

On Tuesday, Liquid defeated BetBoom in 30 minutes and 63 minutes on green. Michal “Nisha” Jankowski of Poland averaged a 12-1.5-14 kills-deaths-assists ratio for Liquid.

PARIVISION eased past Gaimin Gladiators in 35 minutes and 27 minutes, playing on green for both as well. Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov of Russia led PARIVISION with a 13-0-7.5 average K-D-A.

Team Falcons opened their match with a 49-minute victory on red, but Team Tidebound responded with 28- and 47-minute wins on green. On that decisive third map, China’s Guo “shiro” Xuanang led Tidebound with nine kills and his four teammates all chipped in at least 12 assists.
