The Houston Dynamo acquired midfielder Ondrej Lingr on a full transfer from SK Slavia Prague on Friday.
The 26-year-old Czech Republic native is signed through June 2028 with club options through 2029.
Lingr will occupy Designated Player and international roster slots with the Dynamo upon receipt of his international paperwork.
“Ondrej is a goal scoring midfielder with experience playing at the highest levels of European club and international football,” Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad said. “He will make us a more dangerous attacking team with his verticality and penalty box presence, and he matches the defensive intensity that we look for in all Dynamo players.”
Lingr has tallied 55 goals and 14 assists in 258 appearances with Czech clubs Karvina (2017-20) and Slavia Prague (2020-23, 2024-25) and the Dutch side Feyenoord (2023-24).
He won three trophies with Slavia Prague (Czech First League in 2021, Czech Cup in 2021 and 2023) and won the 2024 KNVB Cup and Dutch Super Cup with Feyenoord.
