French point guard Nolan Traore declared for the 2025 NBA Draft on Thursday.
“I’m excited to take the next step in my career and declare for the NBA Draft,” the 6-foot-4 Traore, 18, told ESPN. “I still have many goals with my team, to finish the regular season strong, make the playoffs and then have a great draft process. I want to be drafted to the best situation with a pathway to earn playing time right away. I’m ready for that challenge.”
Traore, ranked as the No. 18 draft prospect by ESPN, is averaging 11.5 points and 4.9 assists through 35 games this season with French Pro A league side Saint-Quentin.
He also made a strong impression at the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit, holding his own against projected 2025 top-five picks Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper.
The NBA draft combine is scheduled for May 11-18 in Chicago. The draft will be on June 25-26 in New York.
