The UFL suspended the Michigan Panthers’ Samson Nacua for one game on Tuesday, two days after the wide receiver slapped a fan during a postgame altercation.
An older brother of Los Angeles Rams star wideout Puka Nacua, Samson was seen on video lunging toward and making contact with a spectator who was leaning over the railing. The fan appeared to be heckling Nacua after the Panthers’ 32-27 loss to the St. Louis Battlehawks on Sunday.
Audio from the video also appeared to pick up the sound of Nacua making contact with the fan.
Nacua will miss Sunday’s game against the DC Defenders. As part of the discipline, the 27-year-old will also participate in community service events that the league will arrange later this year.
Now in his second year with the Panthers, Nacua has gained 116 receiving yards, ranking third on the team, on just seven receptions with one touchdown.
