Minnesota Lynx rookie forward Aubrey Griffin will have arthroscopic surgery on her left knee, the team announced.
Griffin, a third-round pick in the draft earlier this month, will undergo the procedure on Thursday. No timetable for her return was provided.
She capped her six-year stint at UConn with a national championship this season. She averaged 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16 games (one start) after returning in January from a torn ACL in the same knee.
Griffin also missed the entire 2021-22 season following back surgery.
She averaged 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in 126 games (41 starts) with the Huskies (2019-21, 2022-25).
