Four-star point guard Acaden Lewis has committed to Villanova in the Class of 2025.
Lewis, 19, selected the Wildcats after visiting St. John’s, Georgia and Miami over the past few weeks. He previously committed to Kentucky last November before opting to re-open his recruitment last month.
Lewis is ranked No. 29 overall and No. 5 at his position by the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot-2 Lewis starred at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., where he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the area as a junior.
“The staff I ultimately had the most trust in was Nova,” Lewis told ESPN on Thursday. “We built a relationship since my sophomore year, when I first transferred to Sidwell. Kevin Willard and his staff were among the first high-major coaches to recruit me at Maryland. I have built a great relationship with them and have immense trust that I will thrive and they will let me be me.”
Willard departed Maryland after the NCAA Tournament and was named the head coach at Villanova on March 30.
