The Chicago White Sox reinstated rookie infielder Chase Meidroth from the 10-day injured list on Thursday.
He takes the roster spot of rookie infielder Gage Workman, who went on the 10-day IL with a right hip flexor strain.
Meidroth, 23, landed on the IL on April 21 with right thumb inflammation.
Meidroth is batting .269 with one RBI in nine games since making his major league debut on April 11.
Workman, 25, is 0-for-2 in three games with the White Sox since being acquired Saturday from the Chicago Cubs.
