The Texas Longhorns remained No. 1 in the D1Baseball.com Top 25 on Monday despite getting swept at Arkansas over the weekend.
The Longhorns still lead the SEC by two games over the Razorbacks, and Texas retained its perch atop the rankings with LSU and Clemson both losing their series last week.
Florida State moved up to No. 2 after winning two of three games against ACC rival Clemson, while LSU dropped a spot after losing its series at Texas A&M. North Carolina and Oregon round out the top 5.
The sweep was Clemson’s second consecutive series loss and sent the Tigers down six spots to No. 9. Georgia stayed at No. 8, thanks in part to its head-to-head series win over No. 7 Arkansas earlier this year. The Razorbacks did vault four spots, while No. 8 Auburn climbed two places with a road series win at Tennessee.
The defending champion Volunteers have slid all the way to No. 15 in losing fourth of their past five series.
New to the rankings this week is No. 25 Southern Cal, which won two of three games at home against rival UCLA, with the Bruins now No. 18. Kansas fell out of the rankings after getting swept by Cincinnati.
