Lee Stecklein collected two goals and an assist as the Minnesota Frost earned a 5-3 road win over the Toronto Sceptres on Friday, leveling their PWHL semifinal series at one win apiece.
Game 3 in the best-of-five series is scheduled for Sunday in Saint Paul, Minn.
With the score 3-3 in the third period, Minnesota’s Sophie Jaques entered the Toronto zone on a two-on-one, kept the puck herself and fired in a shot from the right circle at 13:47.
The Frost sealed the win when Mellissa Channell-Watkins netted a power-play goal (off an assist from Jaques) with 1:11 to go.
Michela Cava also scored for Minnesota. Taylor Heise and Kelly Pannek each had two assists, and Maddie Rooney made 27 saves.
Hayley Scamurra, Savannah Harmon and Allie Munroe were the goal-scorers for the Sceptres. Emma Maltais notched two assists, and Kristen Campbell stopped 20 shots.
