Team Spirit and Astralis each recorded 2-1 wins on Saturday to advance to the grand final at the $625,000 PGL Astana 2025 tournament in Kazakhstan.
Team Spirit dispatched FURIA after rebounding from a 13-7 setback on Train with a 13-9 win on Nuke and 13-7 victory on Mirage.
Astralis, in turn, overcame a 13-11 loss on Mirage to Aurora Gaming by recording a 13-8 triumph on Nuke and a 13-3 victory on Train.
Team Spirit and Astralis will square off in the grand final on Sunday following the third-place match between FURIA and Aurora Gaming.
Sixteen teams began the Counter-Strike 2 tournament on May 10 in a Swiss system format, with the top eight teams reaching the playoffs. All matches were best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final, with $200,000 going to the winner.
