Team Spirit topped Astralis in four maps Sunday to win $200,000 and first place at PGL Astana 2025 in Kazakhstan.

Team Spirit jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five grand final with a 13-5 win on Dust II and a 13-10 triumph on Nuke. But Astralis came back to win 13-5 on Mirage and get on the board.

The match — and the first-prize money — came down to a 16-13 overtime win on Train for Team Sprit, whose Danil “donk” Kryshkovets of Russia was named MVP.

“WE ARE YOUR PGL ASTANA CHAMPIONS,” Team Spirit posted to X. “Thank you all for your support.”

Earlier in the day, FURIA and Aurora Gaming met in the third-place match. FURIA jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a 13-10 win on Anubis, but Aurora followed by wins on Inferno and Dust II, both by a 13-6 score, to win third place.

Sixteen teams began the Counter-Strike 2 tournament on May 10 in a Swiss system format, with the top eight teams reaching the playoffs. All matches were best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final of the $625,000 tournament.
