Nigma Galaxy, PARIVISION advance at DreamLeague 26

Nigma Galaxy and PARIVISION each won two matches on Wednesday to seal berths in DreamLeague Season 26’s second group stage.

Aurora Gaming also wrapped up a spot in the second group stage thanks to a win and a tie.

In Group A, Nigma Galaxy swept both BOOM Esports and BetBoom Team 2-0, while Aurora Gaming drew 1-1 against BetBoom Team before topping Xtreme Gaming 2-0.

In Group B, PARIVISION downed AVULUS and NAVI Junior, both by 2-0 counts.

Sixteen teams are competing in the $1 million Dota 2 tournament, divided into two groups of eight in Group Stage 1. The top four teams from each group will advance to Group Stage 2, consisting of one single round-robin group.

All matches are two-game series in Group Stage 1, while the next phase will feature best-of-three matches. Four teams will then compete in a double-elimination playoff bracket, featuring best-of-three matches until the best-of-five grand final on June 1.

The first-place team will take home $250,000 of the $1 million prize pool, plus a $40,000 club reward. There will also be 29,200 ESL Pro Tour points distributed among the participating teams.

On Wednesday, Nigma Galaxy handled BOOM Esports in 23 minutes on green and 39 minutes on red. Malaysia’s Daniel “Ghost” Chan produced an average 13/1/10 kill-death-assist ratio for Nigma. The Philippines’ Armel “Armel” Tabios finished at 5.5/6.0/5.0 for BOOM.

Nigma then dumped BetBoom Team in 32 minutes and 56 minutes, both on red. Ghost posted an 11.5/2.0/7.5 K-D-A ratio for Nigma, while BetBoom Team got a 7.5/2.5/11.0 effort from Russia’s Danil “gpk” Skutin.

PARIVISION worked hard to get past AVULUS in 77 minutes on red and 49 minutes on green. Russia’s Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov wound up at 12.5/5.0/11.5 for PARIVISION. Belarus’ Aliaksei “Smiling Knight” Svirydau led AVULUS at 12.0/3.5/7.5.

PARIVISION toppled NAVI Junior in 27 minutes on green and 45 minutes on red behind Satanic’s 7.5/2.5/5.5.

Aurora Gaming opened with a 28-minute win on green before BetBoom Team earned the draw with a 42-minute victory on green. Russia’s Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko was the key performer for Aurora Gaming at 9.5/2.5/7.0. Russia’s Ilya “Kiritych” Ulyanov recorded an 8.5/2.0/2.5 K-D-A ratio for BetBoom Team.

Aurora defeated Xtreme Gaming in 35 minutes on red and 40 minutes on green. Russia’s Gleb “kiyotaka” Zyryanov turned in an 11.5/4.0/12.0 K-D-A ratio for Aurora Gaming. China’s Guo “Xm” Hongcheng produced a 6.5/5.5/5.5 K-D-A ratio for Xtreme Gaming.

In other Group A action on Wednesday, Shopify Rebellion and Team Liquid drew 1-1, OG.LATAM and Xtreme Gaming tied 1-1, Shopify Rebellion swept OG.LATAM 2-0, and Team Liquid defeated BOOM Esports 2-0.

In Group B, NAVI Junior handled Gaimin Gladiators 2-0, Team Falcons beat Edge 2-0, Talon Esports topped Yakult Brothers 2-0, Yakult Brothers drew 1-1 with Gaimin Gladiators, AVULUS and Team Falcons tied 1-1 and Talon Esports finished level at 1-1 against Edge.
