Adolis Garcia laced a go-ahead two-run double in the ninth inning to propel the visiting Texas Rangers to a 5-4 comeback win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, while ending a six-game losing streak.

Texas trailed 3-2 in the ninth against Chicago reliever Jordan Leasure before Josh Jung led off by getting hit by a pitch and Jake Burger followed with a double. Two batters later, Kyle Higashioka reached on an infield single to bring home the game-tying run.

Garcia followed with a two-run double off Leasure (0-4) to give the Rangers a 5-3 lead.

The White Sox’s Edgar Quero began the bottom of the ninth with a double against Robert Garcia, before Michael A. Taylor’s RBI double made it a 5-4 deficit. Taylor was then picked off at second by Garcia.

With the bases empty, Garcia induced a game-ending flyout by Vinny Capra to earn his second save.

Burger laced a two-run homer for Texas in the second, while starter Patrick Corbin allowed three runs on five hits across 5 1/3 innings as the Rangers avoided the series sweep. Shawn Armstrong (2-1) earned the win with 1 1/3 perfect innings.

Chicago’s Davis Martin gave up two runs on four hits over six innings. Miguel Vargas and Austin Slater each hit home runs for the White Sox who were unable to finish off what would have been their first series sweep.

Trailing 2-0, Chicago recorded its first hit in the fourth, as Vargas hit a solo homer.

Quero doubled and Lenyn Sosa singled to put runners on the corners in the bottom of the fifth for the White Sox, but Corbin struck out Taylor and retired both Capra and Chase Meidroth to preserve Texas’ 2-1 lead.

In the sixth, the White Sox pulled even as Slater launched a 420-foot solo home run – his second. Vargas then doubled and Andrew Benintendi’s groundout advanced him to third. Corbin was then replaced by Luke Jackson, who allowed a sacrifice fly by Luis Robert Jr. to give Chicago a 3-2 edge.
