Rookie Logan Davidson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored the game-tying run for the Athletics, who went on to snap their 11-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday in Sacramento, Calif.

The loss ended Philadelphia’s nine-game winning streak.

A’s starting pitcher Gunnar Hoglund allowed three runs on four hits in five innings. Reliever Tyler Ferguson (1-2) faced one batter to retire the Phillies in the eighth and Mason Miller tossed a scoreless ninth for his 12th save.

Phillies starter Jesus Luzardo settled in after giving up early runs, finishing with 10 strikeouts while allowing three runs on nine hits in seven innings.

Trea Turner gave Philadelphia its first lead of the game in the top of the eighth when he put a curveball off the top of the wall in the left field corner for his fifth home run of the season.

The Athletics responded in the bottom half to take the 5-4 lead. Davidson drew a walk against reliever Matt Strahm (1-3) and came home on Lawrence Butler’s triple. Two pitches later, Willie MacIver drove in Butler with a single.

With the Phillies down by two in the top of the third, Brandon Marsh sent a line-drive double off the wall in right-center field, went to third on Bryson Stott’s lineout and scored when Turner singled to center.

Philadelphia tied it 3-3 in the top of the fifth. Alec Bohm singled and went to second on a Marsh base hit. Stott’s flyout moved him to third, and he crossed the plate on Turner’s sacrifice fly.

Jacob Wilson led off the bottom of the first by mashing a first-pitch sinker 420 feet over the left-center field wall to give the Athletics a 1-0 lead.

Brent Rooker and Miguel Andujar each singled and Davidson connected for his first major league hit in his second game, doubling off the left field wall to drive in the pair and make it 3-0.

Hoglund got into a jam to start the second, giving up three straight walks to Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos and Max Kepler to load the bases. But the damage was limited to one run, with J.T. Realmuto grounding into a run-scoring double play, and Bohm flying out to end the inning.
