Justyn-Henry Malloy capped a four-run fifth inning with a two-run single and the host Detroit Tigers won their fourth straight game, edging the San Francisco Giants, 4-3, on Wednesday afternoon.

Colt Keith supplied a two-run double as the Tigers completed a three-game sweep of the Giants.

Brenan Hanifee (3-2) pitched one inning of scoreless relief and Tommy Kahnle got the last six outs for his seventh save of the season. Starter Jackson Jobe gave up three runs and seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Heliot Ramos belted a two-run homer in the fifth inning for the Giants. LaMonte Wade Jr. drove in the other run and Matt Chapman had three hits and scored a run.

Landen Roupp (3-4) was charged with four runs, one earned, on five hits in four-plus innings.

The Giants pushed across a run in the second inning. Chapman led off with a double to left and scored on Wade’s one-out double to right.

Detroit had a threat in the bottom of the fourth as Malloy reached on an infield single and Zach McKinstry was hit by a pitch. Trey Sweeney grounded out to end the inning.

San Francisco extended its lead in the fifth. Mike Yastrzemski drew a leadoff walk and Ramos drilled a Jobe sinker over the left-center field wall for his 10th homer.

Detroit erased the Giants lead in the bottom of the inning. Jake Rogers reached on a Chapman error and moved to third on Kerry Carpenter’s single. Gleyber Torres walked ahead of Keith’s two-run double down the right field line.

Roupp was removed in favor of Randy Rodriguez, who struck out the next two batters before Malloy lined a two-run single to left to give Detroit a 4-3 lead.

Willy Adames reached first on catcher’s interference leading off the eighth. Wade singled off John Brebbia and both runners advanced on the throw to third. Kahnle came to the Tigers’ rescue, retiring the next three batters on a short flyout, strikeout and groundout.

Kahnle retired the side in order in the ninth.
