The Baltimore Orioles placed center fielder Cedric Mullins on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right hamstring strain.
The team also signed utilityman Cooper Hummel to a one-year contract and transferred right-hander Cody Poteet to the 60-day injured list.
Mullins, 30, is batting .232 and leads the Orioles in home runs (10) and RBIs (31) through 50 games this season.
The former All-Star is a lifetime .251 hitter with 96 homers, 309 RBIs and 133 stolen bases in 743 games since his MLB debut with Baltimore in 2018.
Hummel, 30, owns a career .159 clip with three homers and 17 RBIs in 82 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks (2022), Seattle Mariners (2023) and Houston Astros (2024). He was released by the New York Yankees on May 24 after 10 games at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Poteet, 30, was placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation on April 22 (retroactive to April 21), two days after allowing five runs on six hits in 2 2/3 innings in his season debut against the Cincinnati Reds.
Poteet is 5-4 with a 4.20 ERA in 25 career games (13 starts) with the Miami Marlins (2021-22), Yankees (2024) and Orioles.
