Free agent wide receiver Gabriel Davis will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, ESPN reported.
Davis was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars after one season on May 7 in a move that will saw the team absorb a $20.3 million dead cap hit.
Davis, 26, caught 20 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games (nine starts) last season before sustaining a torn meniscus in his left knee on Nov. 17 in a 52-6 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Davis had 163 catches for 2,730 yards and 27 touchdowns in 64 games (47 starts) with the Buffalo Bills. He was selected by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of UCF.
The Steelers acquired wide receiver DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks on March 9. The two-time Pro Bowl selection then signed a four-year, $132 million deal with Pittsburgh.
The Steelers also shipped wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys on May 7 in exchange for draft-pick compensation.
Going to Dallas along with Pickens is a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, while the Steelers received a third-round selection in 2026 and a fifth-round pick in 2027.
The Steelers still are awaiting an answer from free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers as to whether he will sign with Pittsburgh.
