Jackson Chourio and Daz Cameron belted two-run homers to lead the visiting Milwaukee Brewers to a 9-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon.

Chourio finished 3-for-5 while Isaac Collins added a three-run homer for Milwaukee, which captured the rubber game and clinched its 12th consecutive series win against Cincinnati.

The Brewers rebounded from Tuesday’s loss to win for the ninth time in 10 games while the Reds dropped their fourth in five games.

Brewers opener DL Hall threw three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out three. Quinn Priester (3-2) came on in relief and held the Reds to one run and two hits over five innings.

Andrew Abbott (5-1) suffered through his roughest outing for Cincinnati this season and was dealt his first loss in 10 starts.

Abbott, who allowed just two earned runs in six starts in May, retired the first eight batters he faced. Milwaukee then strung together three straight hits, including a double by Brice Turang and an RBI single by Andruw Monasterio for a 1-0 lead in the third.

Abbott was tagged for five runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking one over six innings and 100 pitches.

Cincinnati’s Jose Trevino opened the fifth with his second double of the game to left. Will Benson moved him over to third before Matt McLain drove him home with an RBI groundout to short.

Cameron, the son of former Reds and Brewers outfielder Mike Cameron, crushed an Abbott fastball an estimated 437 feet to the seats in left-center in the sixth for his first homer and a 5-1 Milwaukee lead.

Left-hander Wade Miley made his first appearance for the Reds since 2021 when he allowed four runs in two innings of relief, including Collins’ three-run shot in the ninth.

Miley was signed to a one-year major league deal before the game after Hunter Greene returned to the 15-day injured list with a groin injury.
