James Wood hit a two-run walk-off shot in the bottom of the 11th inning, his second home run of the game, and the Washington Nationals snapped their 11-game losing streak with a 4-3 win against the visiting Colorado Rockies on Thursday.

Jacob Young led off against Seth Halvorsen (1-2) by bunting pinch runner Riley Adams to third. With the infield in, Michael Toglia made a diving stop on CJ Abrams grounder for the out at first base and Young held at third, bringing up Wood, who had hit a two-run homer in the fourth.

Toglia singled leading off the Colorado 11th against Ryan Loutos (1-0) and runner Ryan McMahon scored from second to make it 3-2.

McMahon had two hits for the Rockies, who had won four straight for the first time since May of 2024.

The Rockies got two singles and a walk to load the bases with two outs in the top of the fourth, but Trevor Williams got Brenton Doyle to ground into a force play.

In the bottom half, Abrams led off with a single and Wood lined a homer to center, his 19th of the season, for a 2-0 advantage.

Colorado quickly tied it. Orlando Arcia singled with one out in the fifth and scored on a double by Jordan Beck. Mickey Moniak lined a single to right, scoring Beck with the tying run.

McMahon singled leading off the sixth and, with one out, Doyle doubled him to third. Cole Henry replaced Williams and struck out Sam Hilliard and Arcia to end the threat.

Zach Brzykcy retired the first two Rockies in the 10th. Hunter Goodman walked, but Brzykcy struck out McMahon on a 3-2 pitch.

Alex Call led off the 10th against Ryan Rolison and bunted automatic runner Brady House to third. With the infield in, pinch hitter Amed Rosario grounded out and Keibert Ruiz also grounded out.

Williams allowed two runs on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six and walked one.

Chase Dollander went six innings for the Rockies, allowing two runs on six hits.
