Brice Turang hit a three-run homer, Rhys Hoskins hit a solo shot, and the Milwaukee Brewers held on for a 9-8 win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis.

Hoskins also had an RBI double for Milwaukee, which completed a three-game sweep and improved to a season-high eight games above .500. Christian Yelich went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI to cap off a dominant series in which he drove in 10 runs in three games.

Byron Buxton hit two solo home runs to lead the Twins at the plate. Ty France and Ryan Jeffers also homered for Minnesota, which lost for the ninth time in its past 10 games.

Brewers left-hander Rob Zastryzny (2-1) earned the victory with two-thirds of an inning of scoreless relief. He was one of seven relievers to follow right-hander Quinn Priester, who gave up three runs on nine hits in 3 1/3 innings.

Twins right-hander David Festa (1-2) surrendered eight runs on 12 hits in 4 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out three.

Brewers closer Trevor Megill pitched around trouble in the ninth to collect his 17th save.

Minnesota scored five straight runs to pull within 9-8 but could not complete the comeback.

The Brewers jumped to a 9-3 lead after five innings.

The score was even at 2-all heading into the top of the third. Yelich drove in the go-ahead run with a single to left, and Hoskins increased the Brewers’ lead to 4-2 with a sacrifice fly.

Caleb Durbin scored on a wild pitch by Festa to make it 5-2 in the top of the fourth.

Jeffers cut the deficit to 5-3 with a solo shot in the bottom of the inning.

Milwaukee tallied four more runs in the fifth to grab a six-run advantage. Turang hammered a three-run homer to right-center field, and Sal Frelick ripped an RBI single to center.

Buxton brought the Twins within 9-4 in the sixth with his second home run of the game.

In the seventh, Minnesota managed two more runs to pull within 9-6. Carlos Correa and Jeffers drove in one run apiece.

France hit a two-run shot to slice the Twins’ deficit to 9-8 in the eighth. The Twins threatened to do more damage with runners on first and third, but Megill struck out Jonah Bride with a fastball on the outside corner to end the inning.
