Adrian Houser allowed one run over seven innings to help the Chicago White Sox end the visiting Toronto Blue Jays 10-game winning streak with a 2-1 victory in the finale of a three-game series Wednesday afternoon.

Houser (5-2) scattered seven hits, struck out two and walked two.

Grant Taylor pitched a scoreless eighth and Jordan Leasure closed the ninth for his second save in his fifth opportunity this season.

Edgar Quero doubled twice, drove in a run and scored for the White Sox, who ended a three-game skid.

Bo Bichette went 3-for-3 and Nathan Lukes and Will Wagner each had two singles for the Blue Jays, who were unable to tie the franchise record 11-game winning streak.

Blue Jays starter Eric Lauer (4-2) allowed two runs and four hits in four innings. He struck out seven and walked one. The left-hander came into the outing 3-0 with a 2.59 ERA over his previous seven outings.

The Blue Jays began the second inning with a double to center by Wagner, who moved to third on a wild pitch as Myles Straw walked. Tyler Heineman then laid down a squeeze bunt up the first-base line to score Wagner for a 1-0 lead.

Luis Robert Jr. made a sliding catch in center to end the top of the fourth and Austin Slater singled to left to start the bottom half of the inning for the White Sox. Quero doubled to left one out later to score Slater for a 1-1 tie.

Lenyn Sosa then reached for a low slider and lined it into left for an RBI single and a 2-1 lead.

Houser started the seventh by allowing a leadoff single to Wagner before getting through the inning.

The Blue Jays missed several opportunities to score.

Lukes and Bichette led off the first with singles for Toronto, but Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit into a 6-4-3 double play and Addison Barger grounded out to first.

After Lukes and Bichette started the sixth with a single and a walk before Guerrero grounded to short to put runners on the corners. Barger then grounded to first baseman Tim Elko, who touched his bag and then threw to second for the tag on Guerrero and an inning-ending double play.
