FlyQuest became the first team to get to 2-0 at the LTA North Split 3 on Saturday, sweeping another opponent in Los Angeles.

In the day’s second match, LYON beat Team Liquid to move both teams to 1-1 in group play with one round to go.

The LTA North 2025 Split 3 is the third Americas North League of Legends split under the LTA banner, with eight Americas North teams competing for the Americas title.

The first three weeks are single-match formats, with all matches best-of-three. The Week 1 matchups are based on the final standings from Split 2.

There are elimination matches in weeks 4-5, with the matches each best-of-five. Weeks 6-7 are a double-elimination format and also best-of-five. The top three teams qualify for the LTA Championship, and the winner qualifies for the 2025 World Championship.

In Saturday’s opener, FlyQuest took care of 100 Thieves in 30 and 31 minutes, winning both maps on red. Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek of Iraq and South Korean Song “Quad” Su-hyeong led FlyQuest with 12 kills apiece while Alan “Busio” Cwalina had 24 assists in the two maps, including 17 in the clincher.

In the second match — and sixth of the tournament — LYON and Liquid delivered the first match that wasn’t a sweep.

LYON won the opener in 32 minutes and Liquid answered with a 29-minute win. In the winner-take-all third map, LYON prevailed in 31 minutes. The winner was on blue each time.

Park “Hena” Jeung-hwan of South Korea led the winners with a combined 20/5/20 kill-death-assist ratio. Though he did not record a kill, Argentine Pedro Luis “Lyonz” Peralta went for 38 assists in the match, with 31 coming in the two wins.

Sunday will feature another pair of matches to round out Week 2. The final week of group play takes place next weekend. The final prize pool has yet to be announced.
