Steve Stricker admitted to feeling better after undergoing disc replacement surgery in his neck this week.
So much so, in fact, that he has tabbed the 2026 season for his return to professional golf.
Per his brother-in-law and agent Mario Tiziani, Stricker had the surgery on Tuesday to address a bulging disc and bone spur.
“The procedure went very well, and I’m already feeling great. I truly appreciate all the support and well wishes,” Stricker said in a statement to Golfweek, via Tiziani. “Looking forward to being back and ready for the 2026 season on the PGA Tour Champions.”
Stricker, 58, has been idle since finishing tied for second at American Family Insurance Championship in June. He hosts the tournament in his native Wisconsin.
Stricker is a winner of 12 PGA Tour and 18 Champions Tour events, including the 2019 U.S. Senior Open among seven senior major titles. He was the PGA Tour Champions player of the year in 2023 when he captured the Charles Schwab Cup.
