Alejandro Osuna hit a go-ahead, two-run single in the top of the 10th inning on Monday, propelling the visiting Texas Rangers to a 7-5 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

With runners on second and third, Osuna’s line drive ricocheted off Arizona reliever Juan Burgos (1-1), scoring Michael Helman and Ezequiel Duran.

Shawn Armstrong retired the side in the bottom of the 10th for Texas (72-67), securing his sixth save of the season. The Rangers won their sixth straight game, matching a season-long streak. Patrick Corbin started for Texas, allowing five runs on five hits across 5 2/3 innings, striking out five and walking one.

Texas trailed 5-3 entering the ninth inning. Pinch-hitter Dylan Moore singled to begin the ninth against Kyle Backhus. Two batters later, Jake Burger tripled to drive in Moore and cut the Rangers’ deficit to 5-4. Jake Woodford relieved Backhus and struck out Josh Jung for the second out before walking Kyle Higashioka to place runners at the corners.

Cody Freeman then singled to right, knotting the score at 5-5.

Chris Martin (2-6) threw a scoreless bottom of the ninth to send the game to extra innings.

Ryne Nelson threw six innings for Arizona, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out seven and walking one. The Diamondbacks (68-71) have dropped consecutive games after winning four straight.

Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo each homered on Arizona’s first two plate appearances in the first inning, giving the Diamondbacks an early 2-0 lead.

Arizona added on in the second, as Tyler Locklear belted his third homer of the season to extend the margin to three runs.

Higashioka singled to begin the top of third for Texas, before Freeman hit his second homer of the year to cut Texas’ deficit to 3-2.

Wyatt Langford knotted the score in the sixth as he connected on his 21st home run of the season.

Corbin Carroll singled with one out in the bottom of the sixth, before stealing second and third. Blaze Alexander then tripled to score Carroll and chase Corbin from the game. Texas reliever Jacob Webb then entered, allowing Gabriel Moreno’s run-scoring double, pushing Arizona’s lead to 5-3.
