Kowacie Reeves Jr. scored a game-high 18 points on Friday to help lead Georgia Tech to a 74-45 victory over visiting Bryant in Atlanta.

Freshman Akai Fleming added 14 points off the bench for the Yellow Jackets (2-0), who rebounded after being pushed to overtime by Maryland-Eastern Shore in their season opener Monday. Mouhamed Sylla finished with a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double, while Baye Ndongo had 10 points.

Timofei Rudovskii paced Bryant (0-2) with 12 points, while Quincy Allen chipped in 10. The Bulldogs, who fell by 16 in their opener at Siena on Monday, shot 25% (15-for-60) from the field and just 10.5% (4-for-38) on 3-point attempts.

Georgia Tech shot 46% from the field and 43.5% from 3 in the first meeting between the programs.

Leading by 17 at halftime, Georgia Tech pushed the margin to 30 as Kam Craft’s 3-pointer capped a 15-2 Yellow Jackets spurt at the 16:51 mark of the second half.

Chas Kelley III and Ndongo’s layups gave Georgia Tech a 66-30 edge before Ty Tabales knocked down the fourth Bryant 3-pointer at the 9:03 mark.

Georgia Tech jumped out to a 16-6 lead on Craft’s 3-pointer midway through the first half.

Bryant missed its first 16 3-point attempts, falling behind 21-8 on Reeves’ triple with 8:44 left in the first.

The Bulldogs finally connected from long range on Ashley Sims II’s 3-pointer at the 3:10 mark.

Daniel Akoue hit a pair of free throws in the final minute of the half to trim Bryant’s halftime deficit to 39-22. Fleming led all scorers with 12 first-half points, while Allen paced the Bulldogs with seven.
