Jake Wilkins tallied 14 points, five blocked shots and four steals to lead a balanced effort for Georgia in an 87-57 victory over Florida A&M on Monday night in Athens, Ga.

The Bulldogs (5-0) continued their unblemished start and extended their nonconference home winning streak to 32 in a row under coach Mike White.

Wilkins, the son of NBA legend Dominique Wilkins, was one of five players who scored in double figures for Georgia.

Blue Cain recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds while also recording four assists. Somto Cyril finished with 12 points and five rebounds, but fouled out for the second time this season. Jeremiah Wilkinson scored 11 points and Dylan James added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Florida A&M (0-4) was led by the son of another sports star as Anquan Boldin Jr., the son of the former NFL and Florida State University wide receiver, finished with a game-high 16 points. Tyler Shirley and Jordan Chatman each had 13 points.

The Bulldogs didn’t allow the game to stay competitive for long, using a 16-2 surge midway through the first half to break the game open. It was 32-12 when James ended that run with a jumper, and Georgia doubled up FAMU 44-22 by halftime.

The Bulldogs won their first five games for the second consecutive season and did so despite shooting a dismal 2 for 26 from 3-point range Monday.

The difference was Georgia’s dominance in the paint and on the defensive end. The Bulldogs outscored the Rattlers 48-26 in the paint and outrebounded them 47-33.

Florida A&M, which is beginning its first season coached by former Heisman Trophy winner and two-sport star Charlie Ward, was not good at protecting the ball from the start of the game. The Rattlers committed 25 turnovers, which led to 32 Georgia points.

The Bulldogs were able to turn several of these mistakes into fastbreak scores and finished with a 26-6 edge in that department. Georgia blocked 11 shots.
