Jakevion Buckley led New Orleans (2-5) with 16 points, followed by Mathok Majok’s nine and Coleton Benson’s six. The Privateers dropped their fourth straight game, shooting 2-for-15 (13.3%) on 3-pointers.

After Texas Tech held a 41-34 halftime lead, Toppin scored the Red Raiders’ first six points of the second half, before the margin ballooned to 16 with 16 minutes left.

Texas Tech grabbed its first 20-point lead on Anderson’s 3-pointer with 10:13 remaining.

Buckley answered with a layup, but Toppin’s first triple was part of a 12-0 Red Raiders’ burst, as the lead grew to 73-43 at the 4:45 mark.

Majok’s three-point play with 3:28 left snapped a 6:24 scoreless stretch for the Privateers.

Toppin’s dunks bookended a 7-0 Texas Tech run to begin the game.

Atwell’s 3-pointer gave the Red Raiders a 10-2 edge, before Buckley’s jumper and MJ Thomas’ three-point play jumpstarted a 12-2 Privateers’ run.

After Enzo Boudouma’s layup put New Orleans ahead by a point, Anderson’s trey began a 10-0 Texas Tech spurt.

Toppin scored the Red Raiders’ last two baskets of the first half on put-back layups, giving Texas Tech a 41-34 halftime-lead. Anderson had 18 first-half points, while Toppin tallied a 10-point, 11-rebound first-half triple-double.
