David Perron scored two goals early in the third period to lift the host Ottawa Senators to a 6-4 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.

Ottawa captain Brady Tkachuk scored his fourth goal in three games, and Tim Stutzle collected a goal and two assists to record his fifth multi-point performance during his six-game point streak.

Fabian Zetterlund scored and set up a goal, Tyler Kleven added his first goal of the season and fellow defenseman Thomas Chabot notched an assist in his return from a 12-game absence due to an upper-body injury.

Leevi Merilainen made 20 saves for the Senators, who have won three in a row and avenged a 7-3 setback in Chicago on Oct. 28.

Chicago’s Ilya Mikheyev halted a 20-game goalless drought by scoring twice, Andre Burakovsky tallied on the power play and Nick Lardis added his first career NHL goal.

Arvid Soderblom turned aside 34 shots for the Blackhawks, who have lost five in a row.

Chicago’s Jason Dickinson was whistled for a roughing penalty early in the third, and Perron made him pay with a slapshot from the right circle to stake Ottawa to a 4-3 lead at 1:45 of the period.

Perron wasn’t done, however, as he skated across the slot and wired a shot inside the far corner at 5:31 of the third period.

Lardis halved the deficit 1:46 later with a nifty backhand shot as he skated through the slot, however Zetterlund scored from the slot with 3:50 left to seal the win.

Kleven wired a sharp-angle shot from along the left-wing boards to open the scoring at 6:36 of the first period.

Mikheyev reeled in a stretch pass from defenseman Wyatt Kaiser and beat Merilainen between the pads to forge a 1-1 tie at 1:53 of the second period. Mikheyev also scored from the doorstep to level the contest at 3-3 with 1:28 left in the period.

Stutzle converted a short-handed breakaway for his team-leading 16th goal, giving the Senators a 2-1 lead at 8:02 of the second period.

Burakovsky scored from the left circle 1:53 later before Tkachuk converted Chabot’s centering feed to stake Ottawa to a 3-2 lead with 5:53 left in the period.
