The New York Sirens and Seattle Torrent will face off on April 4 in what will be the first-ever women’s professional hockey game with fans in attendance at the famed Madison Square Garden.

The Professional Women’s Hockey League made the announcement on Thursday.

“Playing at the Garden is an honor and sharing it with our dedicated fans will make it even more special,” Sirens general manager Pascal Daoust said. “New York doesn’t just watch moments; it lives with them. This is one of those nights meant to be experienced together, in the building, as part of the history of our team, our league, and everyone who helps bring it to life.”

On Feb. 28, 2021, the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association hosted a game on the Dream Gap Tour at the Garden. While fans could watch the action on live television in the United States and Canada, there were no spectators there because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The April 4 game will be third and final meeting between the two teams of the 2025-26 regular league season.

The Sirens’ permanent home venue is the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
