Arizona State had five players score in double figures, led by 21 points from Maurice Odum and Massamba Diop in an 87-84 victory over Kansas State on Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.

The Sun Devils (10-6, 1-2 Big 12) snapped a four-game losing streak, winning for the first time since Dec. 13.

Kansas State (9-7, 0-3) has lost its last three games.

Diop also had nine rebounds for Arizona State, which outrebounded Kansas State 48-34.

Anthony Johnson had 18 points while Santiago Trouet and Allen Mukeba each finished with 10 points.

Trouet also had 10 rebounds for a double-double, and Mukeba had eight boards.

PJ Haggerty had 25 points and Abdi Bashir Jr. finished with 22 to lead Kansas State.

Bashir’s layup with 31 seconds left cut the lead to 82-77.

Arizona State’s Andrija Grbovic made one of two free throws before Haggerty was fouled on an inbound pass.

Haggerty made both free throws to cut the lead to 83-79 with 25 seconds left.

Grbovic again made one of two free throws before Khamari McGriff hit a second-chance tip-in with 16 seconds left that cut the lead to 84-81.

Johnson converted one of two from the free-throw line before Haggerty’s 3-pointer cut the lead to 85-84 with 5 seconds remaining.

Odum made two free throws a second later, and Haggerty’s 30-foot shot at the buzzer was off the mark.

A 12-3 run put Arizona State ahead 18-11 with 9:18 remaining in the first half.

That was the Sun Devils’ biggest lead in the first half and it occurred after they made four consecutive field goals.

Arizona State missed its next three shots and had four turnovers enabling Kansas State to tie the game at 22 with 5:54 left before halftime.

The Wildcats led 38-36 at the half behind 11 points from Haggerty and nine from Bashir.

Kansas State was 8-0 when leading at halftime this season.

The Wildcats built a 48-41 lead with 17:45 left, but Arizona State responded to cut the lead to 51-50 three minutes later.

After Kansas State led 64-58 with 10:32 left following a Bashir 3-pointer, Arizona State scored 10 unanswered points.
