Jesper Bratt and Ondrej Palat scored two goals apiece to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Wild on Monday night in Saint Paul, Minn.

Dawson Mercer added a goal and an assist for New Jersey, which snapped a four-game losing streak during which it was outscored 20-5. Nico Hischier and Dougie Hamilton finished with two assists apiece.

Ryan Hartman and Marcus Foligno each scored for Minnesota, which has lost four of its last five (1-2-2). Quinn Hughes led the Wild with five shots on goal but fell short in a game against his brothers, Devils teammates Jack and Luke Hughes.

Devils goaltender Jacob Markstrom stopped 20 of 22 shots to earn the victory.

Wild goaltender Jesper Wallstedt allowed five goals on 29 shots.

The Devils opened the scoring midway through the first period. Hischier handled the puck behind the net and slipped a pass to Mercer, who scored on a one-timer from the slot.

The Wild pulled even at 1-all with 6:19 to go in the second period. Hartman battled for position in front of the crease and redirected a shot from Brock Faber into the net.

Palat gave New Jersey a 2-1 lead in the final seconds of the middle stanza. Hischier facilitated the goal once again as he fed a pass to Palat, who scored from the front of the crease.

The Devils doubled their lead thanks to Bratt, who scored twice in 21 seconds.

Bratt’s first goal came with 12:32 remaining in the third period. On a tic-tac-toe play, Jack Hughes passed the puck to Hamilton, who passed it to Bratt for the goal.

Bratt struck again with 12:11 remaining to give the Devils a 4-1 advantage. Hamilton fired a rising wrist shot from near the blue line, and Bratt redirected it into the net.

Palat joined the two-goal club with 10:21 to play. He punched in a shot from the left side of the crease for his second goal of the game and his fourth of the season.

Foligno finished the scoring on a power-play goal with 19 seconds left.
