Immanuel Quickley exploded for a career-high-tying 40 points, Scottie Barnes dropped in 26 and the Toronto Raptors took advantage of the absence of Jimmy Butler III to overpower the Golden State Warriors 145-127 in San Francisco on Tuesday night.

Butler sustained a torn ACL in Monday’s home win over the Miami Heat, with the after-effects showing in a 41-28 Toronto blitz in the first quarter en route to a lead as large as 30 points.

But led by Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga, who had been benched for the previous 16 games, the Warriors rallied late to get within 125-116 before Golden State eventually caved to Toronto’s high-efficiency offense, which had its highest-scoring game of the season.

Quickley hit 11 of his 13 shots and Barnes 12 of his 18 for Toronto, which connected on 59.3% of its attempts in the game and 61.8% of its 3-point shots. Quickley went 7-for-8 from 3-point range, Sandro Mamukelashvili 4-for-4 and Brandon Ingram 4-for-6 on a 21-for-34 perimeter-shooting night as a team.

Ingram finished with 22 points, Mamukelashvili 14, and Jamal Shead and Gradey Dick 10 apiece for Toronto, which was making its second stop on a five-game western swing. Barnes (game-high 11 assists), Quickley (10 assists) and Mamukelashvili (game-high 12 rebounds) all also found time for double-doubles.

Playing 21 minutes off the bench, Kuminga made 7 of 10 shots and totaled 20 points, five fewer than Hield, who used 6-for-6 accuracy from beyond the arc to notch 25. Stephen Curry shot just 2-for-7 on 3-pointers on a 16-point night that ended an eight-game homestand and snapped a four-game winning streak.

Quinten Post added 12 points to complement a team-high seven rebounds for Golden State, while Brandin Podziemski chipped in with 11 points and Moses Moody 10.

Two days after making only seven 3-pointers while held to 93 points in a blowout loss against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Raptors bombed in 10 of 18 from deep in the first half alone against the Warriors, running up 70 points and a 20-point lead at the break.

Quickley (4 of 4), Mamukelashvili (3 of 3) and Shead (2 of 2) combined to go 9-for-9 from beyond the arc in the half, helping the Raptors outscore the Warriors 30-18 on 3-pointers despite taking five fewer attempts.

Quickley had 18 of his 40 points in the half, while Barnes, who hit his first three shots when Toronto was exploding out of the gate to a 28-10 lead less than seven minutes in, had 14.
