Minnesota Lynx star Kayla McBride sustained a torn right quad muscle while training with Turkish club Fenerbahce Opet in Istanbul.
Per Fenerbahce Opet, there is no timeline for the five-time WNBA All-Star guard’s return to the court.
McBride, 33, averaged 14.2 points, 3.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 39 games (all starts) last season.
She has averaged 14.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 374 career games (371 starts) with the San Antonio Stars (2014-17), Las Vegas Aces (2018-20) and Lynx. San Antonio drafted her with the No. 3 overall pick in 2014.
McBride is the WNBA’s active leader and ranks seventh all-time with 722 made 3-pointers.
