Trevor Moore returned to action with a goal plus the shootout winner as the visiting Los Angeles Kings edged the St. Louis Blues 5-4 Saturday night.
Moore missed the previous 11 games with an upper-body injury.

Alex Laferriere had a goal and an assist for the Kings, who earned just their second victory in six games (2-1-3). Taylor Ward and Brian Dumoulin also scored for the Kings and Darcy Kuemper made 25 saves.

Jordan Kyrou scored twice for the Blues, who are winless (0-3-1) in their last four games. Dalibor Dvorsky and Brayden Schenn scored for St. Louis and
Joel Hofer made 24 saves.

After the Blues turned the puck over, Ward took a pass from Jeff Malott and scored coming down the middle to put the Kings up 1-0 just 4:31 into the game.

The Kings doubled their lead to 71 seconds into the second period. Dumoulin scored from the left point with Corey Perry screening Hofer.

The Blues cut their deficit to 2-1 with a rush goal. Dvorsky raced up the middle, passed to Otto Stenberg on the left wing, then scored off the return pass.

Schenn tied the game 2-2 at the 6:30 mark on a power play. Pavel Buchnevich set up Schenn’s tap-in at the right post with a cross-crease pass.

Kyrou put St. Louis up 3-2 at 8:10, circling the back of the net for a wraparound goal.

Laferriere tied the game just over two minutes later by taking Perry’s pass from behind the net and catching Hofer off the left post.

Moore put the Kings up 4-3 with 8:26 left in the game by punching in the rebound of Brandt Clarke’s shot.

With Hofer off the ice for an extra attacker, Kyrou tied the game by converting Justin Faulk’s rebound with 2:10 left in regulation time.

In overtime, Kuemper stopped a Dvorsky breakaway and Hofer denied Clarke from point-blank range to send the game to the shootout.
