Alex Condon tallied 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Thomas Haugh scored 22 points to help No. 19 Florida deliver a 100-77 beatdown over No. 23 Alabama on Sunday afternoon in Southeastern Conference play at Gainesville, Fla.

Boogie Fland added 15 points, eight assists and a career-best eight steals for the Gators (16-6, 7-2 SEC), who won for the 11th in the past 13 games. Florida committed just two turnovers and reached 100 points for the third time this season.

Rueben Chinyelu recorded 14 points and 17 rebounds and Urban Klavzar added 11 points for the Gators, who bested Alabama for the fifth straight time. Florida has won those games by an average of 16.4 points.

Aden Holloway scored 19 points for Alabama (14-7, 4-4), which allowed its most points this season.

Labaron Philon had 14 points and Aiden Sherrell scored 13 for the Crimson Tide. Latrell Wrightsell Jr. added 11 for Alabama, which shot 43.5% and sunk a solid 14 of 34 3-point attempts.

The Gators connected on 51.3% of their shots and were only 3 of 13 from behind the arc. Florida had a 44-33 rebounding advantage and a dominating 72-26 edge in points in the paint.

Condon converted 11 of 15 shots from the floor.

A major storyline entering the clash was the presence of former professional player Charles Bediako on the Alabama roster. A Tuscaloosa (Ala.) judge recently granted him temporary eligibility.

Gators coach Todd Golden ripped the decision by Alabama counterpart Nate Oats to put a player who was cut by three NBA teams on the roster, capping it with, “If he plays, we’ll beat them anyways.”

The 7-foot Bediako was largely a non-factor and had six points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots in 24 minutes before fouling out.

The Gators led by 10 at halftime and then ripped off the first 12 points of the second.

Condon’s basket capped the surge to make it 58-36 with 15:34 remaining. Alabama’s first points of the half came on a 3-pointer by London Jemison with 14:29 left in the contest.

Rueben Chinyelu and Haugh answered with baskets to make it 62-39 with 14:05 left and Florida controlled the rest of the contest.

The lead topped out at 27 points in the final minute of play.

Condon scored 14 points and Haugh added 13 to help Florida lead 46-36 at the break. The Gators didn’t commit a single first-half turnover.

Holloway scored 13 in the half for Alabama, which committed nine first-half turnovers.

Late in the half, Florida rattled off nine straight points. Haugh ended the burst with a trey to give the Gators a 41-30 lead with 3:07 remaining.

Condon made two free throws to give Florida the 10-point halftime cushion.
