Alex Laferriere had a goal and two assists for the visiting Los Angeles Kings in a 4-1 win against the New York Rangers on Monday.

Mikey Anderson posted a goal and an assist, Drew Doughty and Trevor Moore also scored, Quinton Byfield notched two assists and Darcy Kuemper made 21 saves for the Kings in the finale of the five game road trip (3-1-1).

Artemi Panarin made his first return to New York following his trade to Los Angeles from the Rangers on Feb. 4 and he had the secondary assist on Doughty’s goal.

The 34-year-old forward spent 6 1/2 seasons with the Rangers, leading them in points in each of his first six full seasons.

Vincent Trocheck scored and Igor Shesterkin made 22 saves for the Rangers, who had won a season-high four in a row.

The Kings took a 1-0 lead at 13:29 of the first period when Doughty sent a wrist shot toward the net from the right point with four bodies in front of the crease and the puck hit the net.

The Kings made it 2-0 during a delayed penalty at 4:31 of the second period.

Laferriere took an off-speed one-timer from between the circles and Shesterkin made a left pad save, but the rebound came to Anderson at his side and he stuffed the puck into the net.

Trocheck was called for high-sticking Byfield 17 seconds later and Los Angeles scored 11 seconds into the power play.

A deflected centering pass by Laferriere came to Anze Kopitar at the inside edge of the right face-off circle. His shot was saved, but the puck popped in the air and Laferriere swatted it into the net for a 3-0 lead at 4:59.

New York was on a power play when it cut it to 3-1 on a deflection from between the hash marks by Trocheck at 2:29 of the third.

Moore sealed the win by scoring into an empty net with 1:48 left to make it 4-1.

Adrian Kempe, who leads the Kings in goals (26), assists (32) and points (58), was a late scratch due to a lower-body injury.
