Team Vitality won the lower-bracket final before exacting revenge on Aurora Gaming in the grand final of the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 event, earning the $200,000 first prize on Sunday in Barcelona.
Vitality swept FURIA 2-0 in the lower-bracket final to advance to the grand final against Aurora, a rematch of Saturday’s upper-bracket final. After a narrow 2-1 loss Saturday, Vitality prevailed 3-1 on Sunday to capture the title.
The $500,000 Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 event ran Thursday through Sunday and featured eight teams in a double-elimination bracket. All matches were best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final.
Vitality defeated FURIA 13-5 on Cache and 13-8 on Anubis. French star Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut racked up 42 kills against just 16 deaths for Vitality.
Then came the grand final, in which the sides split the first two maps. Vitality opened with a 13-4 victory on Anubis before Aurora edged them 13-11 on Inferno.
Vitality responded with another 13-4 demolition, this time on Mirage, before clinching the championship with a 13-7 victory on Cache. ZywOo racked up 71 kills against 44 deaths and teammate Robin “ropz” Kool of Estonia had 61 kills to 43 deaths.
