Strong was a two-time Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the Wolf Pack.
He decided to forgo his final year of eligibility after completing 70.0 percent of his passes for 4,186 yards, 36 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 12 games in 2021.
“It is my hope over the next few months that there’s at least one NFL team that believes in me the same way that Coach [Jay] Norvell, Coach [Matt] Mumme, and the entire Nevada coaching staff did back in 2018,” Strong tweeted in making his announcement Dec. 14.
