Before opting out of his junior season, the prototypically-built Sewell established himself as one of the elite blockers in Pac-12 history.
Sewell, a consensus four-star recruit, won the starting job at left tackle in his first season on campus. As a sophomore, he won the Outland Trophy as the country’s best interior lineman in a Rose Bowl-winning season.
Also that season, he became the first sophomore to win the Pac-12’s Morris Trophy, given to the top offensive lineman in a vote of the league’s defensive linemen.
Trent Williams, San Francisco 49ers: The 6-5, 320-pound Williams was the fourth overall selection of the 2010 draft and has been voted to eight Pro Bowls, dominating the NFL’s defensive linemen with his remarkable blend of size, strength and athleticism. Like Williams, Sewell is a top five lock and future Pro Bowl fixture. –Field Level Media (@FieldLevelMedia)
