Undefeated Duke held on to the top spot in the latest AP Top 25 poll, released Monday.
The Blue Devils (6-0), fresh off winning the 2K Empire Classic in New York, earned 53 of 65 first-place votes to hold the No. 1 position for the second straight week.
Louisville (6-0), with seven first-place votes, remained at No. 2 — one of four Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the top 10.
Michigan State (3-1), the preseason No. 1, took the third spot with four first-place votes, followed by Kansas (3-1). Maryland (5-0) jumped North Carolina to round out the top five.
The Tar Heels (4-0) came in at No. 6, followed by 6-0 Virginia, which received the remaining first-place vote. Completing the top 10 were Gonzaga (6-0), Kentucky (5-1) and Ohio State (5-0).

Xavier (6-1) plummeted seven spots to No. 25 after a 70-65 loss to Florida on Sunday. Dropping five spots to No. 22 was Villanova (4-2) following a loss to Baylor, 87-78. The Bears rose five places to No. 19.
Florida (5-2) moved back into the AP Top 25 at No. 24.
Texas (5-1) dropped out of the poll after losing 82-66 to Georgetown.
