Texas Rangers slugger Joey Gallo is destined to rip a hole in the thin air at Coors Field on Monday night, with oddsmakers projecting his longest blast in the Home Run Derby to exceed 504 feet.
DraftKings added a unique spin on the Home Run Derby betting market with over-under on the longest bomb each player will hit.
Gallo’s 2021 average home run distance of 447 feet is the longest among the eight players entered in the event.
New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso has an average of 441 feet and a DraftKings over-under distance of 498.5, trailing only Los Angeles Angels outfielder Shohei Ohtani (499.5) and Gallo (504.5).

Trey Mancini of the Baltimore Orioles has averaged 382 feet on his 2021 home runs, the shortest average distance among participants. His over-under for longest home run is 492.5 feet.
At BetMGM, Ohtani is the betting favorite to win the event at +250 ahead of Gallo (+450) and Alonso (+500).
WynnBet also has Ohtani as the favorite. Complete odds courtesy of WynnBet, accurate at the time of publishing and subject to change.
