Browns defensive end Myles Garrett sparked one of the ugliest incidents in sports history on Thursday, striking Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph with his own helmet in the second half of Cleveland’s 21-7 win.
Garrett, a former No. 1 draft pick, clocked Rudolph atop his unprotected head as Steelers offensive guard David DeCastro attempted to intervene.
The aftermath of the incident is only just beginning with suspension and even legal charges possible.
Here is a blow-by-blow look at what took place Thursday night.
