Gonzaga remains at No. 1 for a second straight week in Monday’s Associated Press Top 25 men’s college basketball poll.
The Zags (13-1), who were off last week for the holidays, received 63 of the 65 first-place votes.
No. 2 Duke (11-1) and No. 3 Kansas (10-2) each climbed two spots and each received one first-place vote, followed by Oregon (11-2) and Ohio State (11-2). The Buckeyes fell three spots after Sunday’s 67-59 loss to West Virginia.
The Ducks are in the top five for the first time since the 2016-17 season when they advanced to the Final Four.
Baylor (9-1) moved up one spot to No. 6 and Louisville (11-2) dropped four spots to No. 7 after a 78-70 loss to rival Kentucky on Saturday. The rest of the top 10 was unchanged with unbeaten Auburn (12-0) followed by Memphis (11-1) and Villanova (9-2).
No. 13 San Diego State (13-0) moved up two places and No. 16 West Virginia (11-1) jumped six after its win against Ohio State.
Despite a 65-56 win over Navy on Sunday, No. 19 Virginia (10-2) fell three spots.
Wichita State (11-1) is the only newcomer to the poll at No. 24, the Shockers’ first ranking since the end of the 2017-18 season.
Washington (10-3) dropped out after a 75-71 loss to Houston in the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii on Christmas Day.
