Washington and head coach Mike Hopkins have agreed to a new six-year contract, ESPN reported Thursday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The report comes a day before the Huskies’ first-round game against Utah State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Columbus, Ohio.
Hopkins led the Huskies to the Pac-12 regular season crown this past season, going 26-8. The 9th-seeded Huskies are a slight underdog to the No. 8 seed Aggies.
Hopkins is 51-26 in two years at Washington and he has been named Pac-12 Coach of the Year both years.
