The Cincinnati Reds announced a one-year contract with free agent first baseman/outfielder Wil Myers on Thursday.
The deal includes a mutual option for 2024. ESPN put the value at $7.5 million, escalating to $9.5 million based on playing time or if Myers is traded.
Myers, 32, batted .261 with seven homers and 41 RBIs in 77 games last season with the San Diego Padres.
He is a career .254 hitter with 153 homers and 521 RBIs in 1,063 games over 10 seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays (2013-14) and Padres.
Myers was the American League Rookie of the Year in 2013 and a National League All-Star in 2016.
The Reds also signed catcher Curt Casali to a one-year deal with a mutual option for 2024.
Casali, who played for Cincinnati from 2018-20, split last season between San Francisco and Seattle. He is a career .223 hitter with 47 homers and 148 RBIs in 462 games for the Rays (2014-17), Reds, Giants (2021-22) and Mariners.
Veteran infielder Mike Moustakas was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
Moustakas, 34, batted .214 with seven homers and 25 RBIs in 78 games with the Reds last season. The three-time All-Star has 203 homers, 635 RBIs and 1,165 hits in 1,315 games with the Kansas City Royals (2011-18), Milwaukee Brewers (2018-19) and Reds.
