Jake Paul, his jaw healed almost 10 months after it was broken by Anthony Joshua, has some of the biggest names in combat sports on his wish list for upcoming opponents.
Nakisa Bidarian, who co-founded Most Valuable Promotions with Paul, tweeted on Thursday, “Jake Paul has been cleared to return to the boxing ring (rocket emoji)”
A day earlier, Paul posted on social media a list of fighters he would like to face. Among the champions mentioned are Conor McGregor, whom Paul said he will fight in either mixed martial arts or boxing; MMA heavyweight Francis Ngannou, MMA lightweight Nate Diaz, boxing heavyweight Deontay Wilder and boxing middleweight Canelo Alvarez.
Sean Strickland, the reigning UFC middleweight champion, also made the list a day after floating the possibility of a matchup with Paul.
Strickland tweeted, “I gotta be honest, unless things change with the UFC I’m kinda over it. McGregor makes 30 million to fight for 30 seconds and they don’t want to pay us a fraction of it. Contemplating just going to 205 (pounds,) knocking out my contract and scrapping with @jakepaul. That sounds fun.”
Paul responded, “Sean Strickland I see your texts but are you out of contract? Tell your ‘promoter’ to call MVP”
Paul, 29, parlayed his internet celebrity into a lucrative boxing career, often opposing MMA fighters. He owns a 12-2 career record, including a 2024 victory by unanimous decision over a then-58-year-old Mike Tyson.
Paul took his only losses against Tommy Fury, by split decision in 2023, and against Joshua, by knockout in the sixth round last December.
