The opening betting odds indicated the expected tight tussle, with Clemson quickly moving to a two-point favorite at Las Vegas Westgate SuperBook after the game opened as a pick-em.
No. 1 LSU, meanwhile, was listed as an 11-point favorite over fourth-seeded Oklahoma, according to Westgate.
It is a similar story at the online sportsbook at DraftKings. Clemson was listed as a 2.5-point favorite, with LSU favored by 11.5.
The money line on Clemson was minus-127 (the amount a bettor would have to wager to earn $100 in profits), with Ohio State at +105. In the other matchup, LSU was minus-375 and Oklahoma +285.
