Georgia climbs to No. 2 in AP Top 25

The Georgia Bulldogs vaulted to No. 2 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll while the team they defeated in Week 1 dropped out of the top four for the first time since 2017.

Alabama garnered 59 first-place votes for a solid foothold on No. 1 after destroying Miami this past weekend.

Ohio State moved up to No. 3 while Oklahoma and Texas A&M round out the top five in the first regular-season edition of the poll. The Sooners fall two spots after a narrow 40-35 win over Tulane in their opener.

Georgia received four first-place votes after posting a 10-3 win over Clemson, which dropped to sixth in the poll.

Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Iowa State and Iowa round out the top 10. The Cyclones and Hawkeyes play their annual rivalry game this weekend.
